Ginger Lemon tea – Perfect for Hangovers!

I woke up and felt the weight of the entire week hanging on my shoulders. My energy for the past couple days have been anything but light. I did a mini stretch on my bed and just needed a way to cleanse my body.

Tea is always a good choice but today I turned it up a notch! 😉

Inside this skin loving brew houses lemongrass, young ginger and lemon. The best part is that I didn’t necessarily have to go out and buy these ingredients too; they were just leftovers lying around in the fridge.

Ready to detox? Grab a couple of your favourite tea bags and let’s go!

 

What you need:

3 stalks of lemongrass

1 young ginger knob, peeled

1 lemon, peeled

2 teabags of your favourite tea!

 

Directions:

Boil a pot of water on medium heat. Add all your ingredients into the pot and let it brew for about 5-7 minutes.

Once finished, turn off the heat and let it cool for about 2 minutes.

Filter the tea bags, ginger, lemongrass and lemon out and pour into your mug 🙂 I added a teaspoon of brown sugar to sweeten it slightly ~
